Introduction: Spring 2026 Just Got a Whole Lot Better

I mean, let’s be honest — hardly anything sends the internet into a tailspin like BTS teasing another comeback, right? July 14, ARMY got just that when Jungkook and Jimin, who went live on Wavers, did us a service by dishing out a series of updates about the group’s next chapter.

Having just concluded their 18-month mandatory military service, after being sworn in on June 11, the duo delivered not only their signature charm, but a gut-wrenching honesty about what’s ahead — and the spring of 2026 is bound to wreck armies of fans.

“We Can’t Delay It Any Longer”: Why This Comeback Hits Different

The Wavers livestream wasn’t some chatty catching-up, either. It was a moment. Giggling softly and with a touch of boyish anxiety, Jungkook peered into the camera and said, “We’re aiming for next spring. Regardless of what that result is, we need to put something out there. Right?”

Jimin agreed by only saying, “Yes.”

But it didn’t stop there. The younger member went on:

“Our ARMY waited too long, I can’t wait no longer.”

Jimin interjected definitively, “We can’t delay it.”

t was one of those moments where the line dividing idol and fan blurred — you could sense the gravity of their words. After years as flamboyant world conquerors, after personal sacrifices and military enlistments and solo journeys, BTS is now ready to come back as one — to top the charts at a time when they finally have nothing to prove.

Behind the Scenes: ‘We’re on Fire!’ — Album Prep in Full Swing

In a welcome break from heavily managed reveals, Jikook (Jimin + Jungkook) were refreshingly honest about how the group is really doing.

Jungkook began, “About a week we’ve been here and let me explain to you guys…”

“Jimin broke in, trying to pump us up, “We’ve been really working! We’re on fire!”It was the sort of chaotic, heart-on-sleeve energy fans adore. The two even had to stop in their tracks to chuckle, acknowledging this may have been the very first time they’ve even shared just how hard they’ve been working on the new music.

“Have we said this before?” Jimin asked. Jungkook replied, “Nope.”

That air of susceptibility persisted as they riffed on ideas, teased one another and confessed — they don’t have it all figured out yet.

Jimin confessed: “I’m really curious. We don’t have the faintest idea what we’re doing yet. What kind of song will we come back with?”
Jungkook, also bewildered and thrilled: The title itself I’m very curious, too. Honestly, I’m a bit worried.”

Where’s BTS Now? Global Prep Mode Activated

In the U.S., for a songwriting camp, are Jimin and Jungkook, with other members close behind. Here’s what we know so far:

RM, Suga, Jimin and Jungkook are already in LA.

Jin, who was recently discharged from military service and is now on tour, is going to join KoreaBTS.com soon.

J-Hope, just back from Lollapalooza Berlin, should arrive soon.
V is finishing up personal schedules and preparing to return with the group.

RM had previously written on July 1:

“We plan to release a new BTS album in the spring of next year. From July we will all work closely as a seven, + new music. It’s going to mirror what each and everyone is thinking and wanting to do.”

What’s so lovely here isn’t just the return, but how they’re doing it, together, from the ground up, with the same hunger they had at debut.

A Little Bit of Chaos: Jook’s Real-Life Shenanigans

Of course, it wouldn’t be BTS without those drops of cute chaos. At this particularly live, Jimin explained he went shopping with RM and Suga — and he discovered, as he put it, that RM and Suga “didn’t even buy anything“, while he “went in three bags and came back out with three bags“.

Jungkook, obviously left out, pouted and complained about wanting to go too. It’s that combination of superstar and best friend energy that we find so lovable.
“This is TOO MUCH for my heart!” one fan wrote.

And another, “Just give me a Ju kook reality show already.”

What to Know: Timeline of the Comeback & What Comes Next

Album Release: Unconfirmed, probably between March and May 2026

Creative Camp: July-September 2025, set in LA.

First Group Album Since: “Map of the Soul: 7” (2020)

“That’s the longest period of time for BTS not to release an album as a team,” he said. But that is what makes this return so emotionally fraught.

Closing Thoughts: This Comeback Isn’t Merely Music — It’s a Moment

What Jimin and Jungkook really reminded us — definitively, explicitly — with this live, wasn’t that a comeback is coming, but that one very much matters. It’s emotional. It’s earned. It’s the culmination of years of growth, change and perseverance.

Spring 2026 will not be simply a season. It’ll be the season BTS returns home — to “ music, to each other, and to ARMY.
